Mission Statement

Knowledge of the Equal Rights Amendment is minimal at present, especially  among college students, the youngest of whom were born 17 years after the 1982 ratification deadline.  We believe that the support of young people is critical to ratification efforts.  Our goal is to engage North Carolina’s students in the ERA movement by educating them on what the amendment is and why we all still need it.

What is Campus 4 ERA?

Campus 4 ERA is a developing movement that creates an intergenerational conversation between the activists that pushed for ratification in the 1970s and young feminists of today.

Our focus is the organization of  events to educate and mobilize college students around key issues that would be directly impacted by an Equal Rights Amendment.
